Crystallization

#science #chemistry Crystallization provides crystals from a soluble solid dissolved in a solvent. When the solvent evaporates, the solute is crystallized.

Solute: A solid that dissolves in a liquid Solvent: A liquid that the solid dissolves into. Solution: The solvent with the dissolved solute.

Method

1. The solution is poured into an evaporating basin and heated over a Bunsen burner.

2. The liquid begins to evaporate, leaving the solid to crystallize.

3. Only the solidified crystals remain.
